How much does a trade show stand cost? Carmen Gómez answers

In short: there is no price list, because every stand is designed for a specific project. The price is driven above all by overhead and high-level elements, mezzanines, large-format audiovisuals, curved shapes and metalwork, and the materials. There is a minimum, which depends on the floor area, the show, the dates, the technology and the staging. And the best thing is to share your budget from the start.

It’s the question we’re asked most and the one that can least be answered with a number. We put it to Carmen Gómez, CEO of the noisy group, who prepares every quote with the client.

Why don’t you have a price list?

Because the creativity that defines our studio can’t be standardised. Every project is made to measure.

What determines the price of a stand?

What weighs most are the overhead elements for visibility from a distance, mezzanines and large-format audiovisuals. Also great heights, curved construction elements and metalwork, and certain building materials, such as laminates or melamine boards.

You start from a minimum. How do you explain it to someone asking for the first time?

The minimum depends on the floor area, the show, the dates, the technology and the staging the exhibitor needs to convey the values of their brand and product.

Is it better to share the budget from the start or wait to see a proposal?

Always from the start. Seducing someone with a project they can’t pay for makes no sense at all. Cuts cause disappointment, because you can’t have what you liked at the beginning; you end up going round and round the project to cut it down and in the end it isn’t the same.

What does getting a return from a stand mean to you?

The best return is working as a team with satisfaction, efficiency and mutual recognition of the effort made by the client and the studio. That is how every process is optimised.

You can see it in loyalty: if a client comes back, thanks you and recognises it, we have achieved it, both us and them.

Where is it worth investing, and where can you save without it showing?

You have to invest in thinking, not work blindly. Think of the project as a whole: the result has to be unique, attractive, on-brand and within the planned cost, with each project assigned to the right team for concept and production. Investing in the early stages pays off, no doubt.

And you have to shine in the visitor’s first impression, the one that turns a stand into a pleasant, striking and surprising experience: good visibility from above, a good audiovisual, carefully designed warm lighting, a social area that invites people to stay and close deals, and technology that makes a difference in the activations.

You can save thanks to the huge range of materials on the market; it’s about balancing result and cost. Very often less is more: you don’t need to overload ideas, good ones shine on their own. And you can save on what the visitor doesn’t see: storage rooms, technical areas…

What can be reused from one year to the next?

It depends a lot on the type of stand. Remember Filomena, the storm that caused so much damage to production companies’ warehouses and to the elements they had in storage. Keeping a stand idle for a year makes little sense. It can be stored when there is rotation and the same stand is built several times a year.

How it is built and the care taken in packing and storage are crucial to keep it in good condition. Otherwise, repairs are very costly and, added to the storage cost, the expected saving disappears. Besides, much of what goes into a temporary architecture stand is rented; buying it would mean a very considerable upfront investment, and possibly not a profitable one.

A case where a well-thought-out investment delivered more than expected

In times like these, with wars, crises and inflation, it’s a challenge for any investment, well thought out or not, to go further than planned. Quite the opposite. Even so, there are success stories. A well-thought-out virtual activation, with a large investment of resources, won us, with ALSA, the FITUR 2026 Best Stand Award in the Companies category. And a well-thought-out investment in the concept of another stand won us, with Paradores, the FITUR 2025 Most Sustainable Stand Award.

Something almost nobody asks and everyone should know

At noisy there is a family of committed, responsible professionals that is hard to find these days. It may sound pretentious, but it’s true. And a question: why run a pitch if you already have exactly what you’re looking for here? What’s the need? If you’re only going to compare budgets, take into account the quality of the design and the service: most of the time, cheap turns out expensive.
